Pokemon Go is a huge success, but recently a user from Brooklyn, Nick Johnson, took the world by storm as he was declared the first Pokemon master to capture all Pokemons from around the world. He was initially in the news for being able to capture all 142 Pokemons that are available across the US.
During his stay in the United States, he caught almost all Pokemons in the list except the three creatures that were only available in other countries. Going by the records, there are 145 Pokemons in total that can be caught among the original list of 151 in which six are legendaries and are not attainable, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Mr. Johnson is a 28 year-old New Yorker and an author who always wanted to "be the very best". He is now officially declared the "Pokemon Master". At present, he is the head of a Applico, a mobile tech consulting firm.
Ever since the augmented reality game was launched in July in the global market, Johnson has been traveling the world to set a record like no one before. He has been successful in catching all the cartoon characters in the mobile game and recently he managed to pokeball very rare Pokemons in other countries than the US.
He caught "Kangaskhan", his last Pokemon, while he was in New Zealand and Australia. He snagged one of the pokemons while visiting Sydney. He later wrote on Twitter, "I fear not the wrath of Khan."
Johnson was suddenly in the spotlight and was the main talking point of reporters when a Reddit user officially announced that the Applico head has successfully caught all the Pokemons. With two weeks, the New Yorker became a media sensation and soon he started sharing Pokemon Go tips with the world, Tech Insider reported.
Going by the records, Pokemon Go managed to break Apple's-own app store record in its debut week for the maximum number of downloads. As a result, Pokemon's developer and parent company Nintendo's stock catapulted in the next few weeks, surpassing McDonald's sponsorship deal in Japan.
