South Korean boy band BIGBANG will hold a meet-and-greet fan event in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dubbed "The Big Bang Made V.I.P Tour In Honolulu," the group's first official event in Hawaii will happen on Oct. 22 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena.
"There have been some South Korean musicians who did performances in Hawaii," an official of YG Entertainment said in a statement obtained by The Kpop Herald. "But, Big Bang is the first to perform on large 'arena-scale' stage."
The official poster for the upcoming event was widely circulated on Twitter. The ticket will go on sale beginning Aug. 18, Thursday at 10:00 AM (KST) with the prices ranging from $149 to $219. More details about the project will be revealed soon.

Prior to the meet-and-greet fan event in Hawaii, the five-member boy group is slated to hold several fan meeting event in Macau on Sept. 3 and 4. It will be trailed by another event in Taiwan on Sept. 8 to 10.
The boy band, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Taeyang, and Daesung, was caught up withholding a slew of fan events and special concerts to commemorate their 10th anniversary in the industry. In June and July, BIGBANG drew more than 110,000 fans to its fan meeting tour in several cities in China, including Qingdao, Shenyang, Nanning, Foshan, Harbin, Chongqing, Dalian, and Chengdu.
To mark the group's 10th anniversary, BIGBANG is scheduled to have a home concert on Aug. 20 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The group will also have an exhibition in Seoul, South Korea from Aug. 5 to Oct. 30.
Dubbed "BIG BANG: The Exhibition A To Z," the on-going exhibition showcases the group's history. It also displays several pictures of the group, their respective costumes/outfits, several videos and other memorabilia.
"Our tenth anniversary is an important day for us, and since there will be more days when we can meet in the future, I hope that we will be able to laugh and sing as we grow old together," Naver News quoted G-Dragon as saying.
