Even before American gymnast Simone Biles became the darling of the Rio 2016 Olympics by being declared the best all-around female gymnast, she has been Twitter friends with actor Zac Efron.
It all started in 2013 when Simone expressed her love for Zac in a tweet. When the young gymnast guested on the Ellen DeGeneres show in early May, the TV host gifted Simone with a leotard covered with Zac’s face, reported Chron.
Besides the leotard, Simone treasures owning a life-sized cardboard cutout of the handsome actor.
On July 7, when Simone informed Zac of her Olympic trials, he wished her well which led to the gymnast tweeting that with Zac’s response, she felt like passing out. On Aug. 8, he congratulated her for qualifying for the finals. She invited Zac to watch the finals and the actor assured Simone on Aug. 9 he would and wished that she would dominate the floor.
The tweet was accompanied by the actor making a heart shape with his hands, while the background is a large TV set with the five gymnast finalists.
Entertainment Weekly describes their online flirting as Twitter BFFs. Her last tweet was a big thanks and saying Zac is the best.
