The fans of Rihanna are very happy and the ''Anti'' singer is all set to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. This award will be handed over to the Barbadian singer on Aug. 28 during the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony. There are possibilities that her relationship with Drake might take a new turn now.
"The Monster" singer Rihanna now will be at par with the singers like Beyonce and Kanye West, who have received this award in the past, reported The Hollyood Reporter. The singer was extremely happy after this announcement and Tweeted to express her happiness. ''Honored to take the #VMAs stage as your video #VANGUARD award recipient LIVE from NYC on August 28!" her Tweet said.
In other news, her latest single with Calvin Harris ''This Is What You Came For'' was a phenomenal success. She has come a long way in her decade long music career. Her first studio album ''Music of the Sun'' was released in 2005. On Apr. 29, 2016, this song was released and reached the number three position on the Billboard Hot 100.
Her recent success of the ''Anti world tour'' too was phenomenal. Her eighth studio album ''Anti'' was released on Jan. 27, 2016. She started the World Tour on Mar. 12, 2016. The first show was in Jacksonville and the Tour will conclude on Nov. 27, 2016, in Abu Dhabi, UAE (United Arab Emirates.) On Aug. 5, 2016 she performed in Warsaw, Poland along with Big Sean and Mo Beatz.

On Aug 16, Tuesday, she will perform in the Berlin, Germany at the Mercedes-Benz Arena along with Big Sean, R3hab and Bibi Bourelly.
In the personal front, a few weeks back she was spotted with singer Drake in a London night club. As the fans know, Drake always had a soft corner for Rihanna and if the rumors are to be believed, the duo is going strong now.
