"Criminal Minds" alum Shemar Moore has a lot to say about Thomas Gibson's firing on the show in a now-deleted social media post. After the actor was axed from the veteran CBS procedural on Aug.12, Friday, he has hired the services of a popular Los Angeles law firm for a probable suit against the "Criminal Minds" producers.
Moore posted a short video clip on Instagram on Aug. 11, Thursday, where he conveyed a serious message that "karma is real." The actor has taken down the clip, but a fan had saved it and shared on Twitter. Although he didn't pinpoint who he is referring to, people close to them could identify his grudges to his former "Criminal Minds" co-star.
"Lot of birdies chirping out there," Moore said in the video. "The gossip is real. I hear it. I see it. I'm sure a lot of you do too. So I'll just say this. I believe that good things happen to good people."
"Honest people. Hardworking people. Humble people. People who believe in basic goodness. ... Treat people how you expect them to treat you."
Gibson's dismissal from the "Criminal Minds" was confirmed by ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios to US Weekly in a statement. The studios declined to elaborate on how the actor's character as FBI agent Aaron Hotchner will exit, but they announced that it will be revealed at a later date.
Following Gibson's termination from the TV series, Skip Miller and partner Sasha Frid had confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the actor has sought their services to represent him in a probable lawsuit against the show's producers. The lawyers will be meeting next week to weigh things, whether it is best for Gibson to pursue a legal case against the show's producers.
Gibson was caught in a heated argument with the "Criminal Minds" writer/ producer Virgil Williams while filming that later turned out to be physical when the former kicked the latter on his shin more than two weeks ago. The row escalated when Gibson was suspended and rumors of his termination began hitting he headlines.
Amidst the contentious firing of Gibson, ABC and CBS have launched an investigation on the case. It seemed that Williams is getting sympathy from the rest of the cast and crew, but he will be investigated too on the incident.
