Exciting things are store for beloved characters of the long-running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy." Latest Season 13 spoiler news has revealed Kelly McCreary's Maggie's expected reaction over the anticipated romance between Meredith and Nathan.
The Season 12 of the ABC series ended with Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) realization on how she and her friend Maggie have their eye on the same man. McCreary's character told Meredith that she liked Nathan (Martin Henderson). However, Maggie had no idea that Meredith and Nathan already had a steamy encounter together.
Although Meredith did not reveal her blooming romance with Henderson's character, Maggie will soon learn the truth in an upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 episode. In an interview with TVGuide, McCreamy teased that Meredith's decision to keep silent may impact the two ladies' friendship. The actress also made mention of Maggie's previous altercation with Richard (James Pickens Jr.).
Loyal viewers of the ABC series may recall how Maggie became angry at Richard for withholding the truth behind her parentage. Richard kept the secret of being Maggie's father from McCreary's character for quite some time. The actress hinted that Maggie may have a similar reaction when she learns of Meredith and Nathan's romance.
She explained that fans can use Maggie's previous rift with her father as an indication of how she would potentially react to the impending love triangle situation. McCreary also teased that her character may become more hurt over Meredith keeping silent about Nathan since Maggie really trusts Pompeo's character. She even described Maggie as a person who valued honesty and truth over everything else.
However, it is still unclear whether Maggie will come between Meredith and Nathan's romance in Season 13. The actress did not provide any details about the three characters' love triangle.
Meanwhile, Meredith's new romance would mark her first relationship following the death of her husband Derek Shepherd. In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pompeo expressed her excitement in playing one part of a love triangle. She stated that she found the said relationship situation as a fun part to play in the ABC series.
Avid fans of the show can look forward to seeing exciting and heartbreaking scenes in the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13. The new season's first episode is expected to air on Sept. 22 on ABC.
