The Milwaukee Bucks is a team in flux with an abundance of young talent but they don't seem to fit well. That's why they're in the midst of NBA trade rumors.
The Bucks' front office has been trying to trade off center Greg Monroe since the end of last season. However, centers have been an unwanted commodity in the NBA recently, especially one that's not quick enough to guard the pick and roll.
One possible recourse is to use their top trade assets to get some useful pieces in return for trading Monroe. A claim from Sportsrageous has the Bucks willing to trade Jabari Parker who's only on his third year. While that may be a preposterous claim (and that site has been known for incredible claims) their basis was Jared Dudley's statements on Zach Lowe's podcast.
"It's Giannis' team," Dudley was quoted. "You're only going to go as far as him. Once Jabari [Parker] takes that next step - he was a lot better second half than he was first - but as of right now, people have to know this is Giannis' team. You fall in line to try to make people better around him."
If the Bucks do consider trading Parker, they should use that as a chance to dump Monroe and also get assets in return. The Phoenix Suns is a team that wants to clear their guard situation and they would want to clear more playing time to develop Devin Booker.
Booker is stuck in a logjam with Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, two point guards who are ball-heavy and also look to score (and they also do that well). Trading one of those players to Milwaukee along with Tyson Chandler-the veteran defensive center that the Bucks wanted Monroe to be, for Parker and Monroe makes sense for both teams.
The Suns get the best player in this scenario, so while Bledsoe and Chandler for Parker and Monroe works in the Trade Machine, the Suns need to throw in a future first round pick.
The Bucks will definitely think long and hard before trading Parker but they can get better in the short term if they have Giannis, Bledsoe and Chandler along with Middleton. The Suns would definitely love this trade, though.
