The supernatural-action manga series, "Bleach," will wrap up with chapter 686 as it was announced last month that the series' current volume number 74 would be the last. It is speculated that after the epic battle, Ichigo might be the new Shinigami leader. In addition, Ichigo's son is believed to be the new protagonist in the later chapters of the manga after the end of Ichigo's arc.
In chapter 685 titled "A perfect End," the story took a 10-year time jump from what had happened in the famous battle between Ichigo and Yhwach, according to Manga Stream. The first part of the chapter revealed Captain-Commander Kyoraku visiting the burial site of Ukitake.
Kyoraku was later called by one of his friends informing him to leave. On the way out of the cemetery, a small blob of black matter appeared to ooze out from one of the tiles of the burial grounds.
Chapter 685 as well featured some of the characters, particularly the squad captains including Kenpachi, Mayuri, and Ikkaku who were then used to 10 years of peace and tranquility. Furthermore, the chapter displayed the squad leaders going to a ceremonial hall where they were set to announce Rukia as the newest inclusion to the list of Shinigami captains.
On the other hand, Shinigami Research and Development Institute's vice president, Akon, sensed some extraordinary and at the same time familiar reiatsu readings on their sensors. They later realized that it belonged to Yhwach.
Following the events of chapter 685, the final chapter of the series is reported to be in full color and might sport the comeback of Yhwach given that his reiatsu signatures began to manifest afresh, according to Mobile N Apps. Rumors are also rife that Ichigo might eventually become the new leader of the Shinigami. It was earlier revealed that there would be a special announcement after chapter 686. It is possible that Ichigo will have a son that could succeed him.
"Bleach" Chapter 686 is scheduled to release on Aug. 22. Here is footage for more information:
