"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 cast members Jason George and Chandra Wilson recently opened up about the upcoming episodes.
While speaking with Extra TV, the co-stars confirmed that there will be more drama in Meredith Grey's (Ellen Pompeo) in the upcoming episodes. When asked what exactly will happen to the lead character, Wilson said that they can only make assumptions at the moment.
"Your guess is about as good as mine... I don't know. Maybe a little bit of a year of exciting things. We're going for that," Wilson said.
Meanwhile, Wilson confirmed that they have just wrapped up filming for the first few episodes of the hit ABC series. With this, the actress said that no one really knows exactly what's in store for each of the characters in the show.
The actress added that the premiere episode for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will kick off immediately where season 12 left off. This means that April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson's (Jesse Williams) relationship with the arrival of their child will take center stage.
In the finale episode for season 12, Jackson and April welcomed their child together. There are rumors that the estranged couple will decide to get back together for the sake of their child.
Additionally, Meredith may or may not tell Maggie (Kelly McCreary) the truth about her hook up with Nathan (Martin Henderson).
Previously, cast member Caterina Scorsone confirmed that her character Amelia and Owen (Kevin McKidd) won't have much screen time in the premiere. The actress said that the newlyweds will spend plenty of time together off screen because of their honeymoon.
In other news, Wilson is very happy with the fact that tons of people continue to be inspired by the series. According to her, she sees it as a blessing that viewers are still loyal to "Grey's Anatomy" after several seasons.
"We're in a really unique position and we're grateful for it," she said.
"It's a blessing..." George added.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
