Naruto Shippuden - Obito's effort to save Kakashi from Kaguya's attack cost him his very own life. But before he joins Rin to the other side, Obito has lent his old friend a power that will prove pivotal in their battle against mother of all shinobi.
Previously on Naruto Shippuden:
After using most of his remaining chakra to save Sasuke and bring him back to the battlefield, Obito came through with yet another valiant move for the cause of the shinobi world. Only this time, he paid the ultimate price.
In an effort to save Kakashi from getting hit by Kaguya deadly spear-liked bones, Obito used his body to take the hit, and at the same time, teleported the spear approaching towards Kakashi using his Kamui.
The hit was fatal in an instant as Obito's body started to disintegrate afterwards. He told Kakashi how grateful he was to fight alongside with him until the end, but he needs to wait a little longer to re-join him and Rin in the afterwards.
But just before Obito completely fades, he left a parting gift to his friend that proves to be crucial in their showdown against Kaguya.
Naruto Shippuden Episode 473:
Obito lent Kakashi a pair of his Sharingan eyes, allowing his friend to use all the power coming with it, including the ability to summon the Susanoo.
While Kakashi doesn't have enough chakra to harness Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan for an extensive amount of time, it's apparently just enough for him and his Team 7 students (Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto) to execute the final blow on Kaguya.
