"The Blacklist" Season 3 finale had a shocking twist, and therefore, there are new stories that should be explained in Season 4. It is likely that Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) and Elizabeth 'Liz' Keen (Megan Boone) will face difficulties in bringing up Agnes. Raymond 'Red' Reddington (James Spader) will has a hard time convincing Liz that Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) is not her biological father.
In Season 3 finale, Tom escaped to Cuba with baby Agnes. While, Liz was supposed to reunite with them, the family reunion was marred by the entry of Kirk, at one time called Constantin Rostov.
Kirk dropped a bombshell on Liz, claiming that he is her biological father. In case this turns out to be true, there will be a big problem between Liz and Red. Red has had a long history of hatred for Kirk.
However, the main concern in the upcoming season is how everyone will handle the betrayal and lies. Fans will also want to know how the new parents will deal with the complicated situation.
In an interview with TV Guide, Eggold said, "What is at stake for their relationship [now] is really their daughter... Can they be parents? Can they bring a person into this chaotic, criminal world that they have?"
Liz and Tom should know that their priority is to raise Agnes and keep her out of the mess they are in. It remains to be seen whether Red will understand and assist them with the process of taking care of Agnes.
Meanwhile, there are possibilities that Kirk is not the biological father of Liz. However, it will take much effort, at least for Red, to convince Agnes' mother that Kirk is not really the man who he claims to be.
Executive producer, John Eisendrath, had an interview with Entertainment Weekly, wherein he said that this should be something for fans to watch out when Season 4 premieres.
Eisendrath said, "It's definitely an, 'Oh my God, who really is this person, what's his agenda and what is going to happen to Liz?"
