“Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki may have been noticed by TV observers as one of the Hallyu kings of cheesy lines.
However, before he became famous as the most popular celebrity in South Korea and China, he played a bad character, Kang Maru, in "The Innocent Man." His 2012 role was a conniving womanizer, but he actually cares for one person in the world, his younger sister.
In the drama, Song Joong-ki was paired with Moon Chae Won, who plays the character Seo Eun Gi, known for her calculating nature which makes a good pair with Kang Maru, noted Soompi which made a list of most epic Hallyu bad boys.
Another actor on the list is Seo Kang Joon who plays Baek In Ho in “Cheese in the Trap.” Baek In Ho is a pianist with a colorful past, including his parents dying, his best friend betraying him and failing to become a pianist which he dreamed of. While he is a bad boy in “Cheese in the Trap,” Baek In Ho has an innocent love for Hong Seol, portrayed by Kim Go Eun.
From “Doctors,” there is Ji Soo who plays the leather jacket-wearing Kim Soo Chul, known for his persistent love for Yoo Hye Jung. One outstanding quality of Kim Soo Chul is his manliness that is hard to miss onscreen and hard to get over.
Meanwhile, also included in the list is Lee Min Ki who portrays Joo Byung Hee in “Shut Up Flower Boy Band.” His leather jacket, eyeliner and being a band member are perfect characteristics of a bad boy. But he sheds the image when he falls in love with Im Soo Ah, played by Jo Bo Ah.
Movienewsguide added to the list Kim Woo Bin of “Uncontrollably Fond.” The entertainment website cited Episode 8 of the TV series wherein the actor declared the food which Ji Tae purchased as completely disgusting.
