The first script reading for the new tvN drama series, "Tomorrow With You," was a success. The upcoming fantasy-romance drama will star "Oh My Venus" actress Shin Min-Ah and "Signal" actor Lee Je-Hoon.
On Aug. 29, Monday, the cast and staff members gathered together for the first time to sit down and go through the script at CJ E&M Center in Sangamdong, Seoul, South Korea, The Kpop Herald reported. tvN then released several stills from the script reading to multiple local news outlets. The photos were widely circulated on Facebook.
Lee will play an owner of a real estate investment firm, Yoo So-Joon, who can travel through time by means of a subway. Due to his time travel abilities, he has amassed tremendous wealth in real estate.
"My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox" actress, on the other hand, will play his better half, Song Ma-Rin, a 30-year-old amateur photographer. She falls into turmoil after she discovers Yoo So-Joon can time travel.
"Shin Min Ah was good at acting sly," a source from "Tomorrow with You" told Soompi. "Lee Je-Hoon showed a completely different side from his previous drama 'Signal'."
Aside from the aforementioned characters, "Jealousy Incarnate" actress Kim Ye-Won has also been cast to play Song Ma-Rin's rival and friend, Lee Gun-Sook. Other stars include Kang Ki-Doong, Park Ju-Hee, Baek Hyun-Jin, Oh Gwang-Rok, Lee Jung-Eun and Jo Han-Chul.
tvN's "Tomorrow with You" is said to be a 100 percent pre-produced drama with its filming slated to start in mid-September. It will be directed by "Oh My Ghost" director Yoo Je-Won based on a script penned by Heo Sung-Hye.
Lee started his acting career by starring in several indie films. He then starred in several blockbuster films like "My Paparotti" and "Architecture 101," including TV series such as "Secret Door" and "Fashion King."
Shin, on the other hand, is best known for starring in several hit TV dramas such as "My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox" and "Arang and the Magistrate." She is one of the most sought after and highest paid commercial endorsers in the business.
tvN's "Tomorrow with You" is scheduled to air in early 2017. Check out Shin as Atty. Kang Joo-Eun in KBS 2TV's "Oh My Venus" below:
