F4's Jerry Yan, 39 and Vanness Wu, 38, headed to Bali, Indonesia over the weekend to watch friend Ken Chu tie the knot. The three actors were former bandmates and co-stars in the phenomenal TV series, "Meteor Garden."
On Sept. 3, Saturday, Chu officially walked down the aisle with Chinese actress Han Wenwen, China Christian Daily reported. Held at the Mulia Resort in Nusa Dua, visitors at Chu's wedding were surprised when Yan and Wu arrived ahead of the ceremony.
At the grand reception following the wedding, Yan and Wu reportedly sang "Meteor Rain" with Chu. The song is from the 2001 debut Mandarin studio album of the same name. Photos from the event were widely circulated on Facebook.
Many ardent fans were delighted to see them together, though others noted that it would have been better if Vic Chou, 35, was also present. The latter did not attend the wedding as his wife, Reen Yu, had just given birth.
"Whether it is F1, F2, or 3, these are just numbers," The Strait Times quoted Yan as saying, dissipating talk that he and Chu had dropped out. "They do not represent friendship. Actually, we are all alright."
Following Chu's wedding, the group's former leader is now the only bachelor left. Speaking before a group of local reporters, Yan playfully said he was so moved by the wedding that he had a motivation to push everyone aside just to catch the bridal flowers.
Meanwhile, Chu and Han first crossed paths when the former went back studying at Beijing Film Academy. Coincidentally, Han is an alumnus of the said film institute.
The Taiwanese actor then proposed to Han during her 34th birthday party. On April 12, the couple officially registered their marriage in Han's hometown, Shenyang, China.
The couple then took wedding photos in Bali, Indonesia and returned to Taiwan in June to enlist their marriage there. In early July, Chu and Han held a private wedding ceremony alongside their close friends and family in Taipei.
