The latest details and spoilers for "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature Steve Rogers getting a new superhero name and X-Men not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It seems that Steve Roger (Chris Evans) will likely adopt a new superhero name after it was confirmed by director Joe Russo that Steve will no longer use the mantle of "Captain America" after the events of the "Civil War" film.
Russo explained that when Cap drop his iconic shield after his fight with Tony Stark/Iron Man in "Captain America: Civil War", it meant that Steve is letting go of his identity as Cap admitting that he is in conflict with his decisions during the course of the film.
With Steve Rogers no longer Captain America in "Avengers: Infinity War" several comic fans speculated that Steve will adopt a new superhero idenity and Russo teased that Steve in the film could be Nomad. The first hint of Nomad when someone from Reddit posted the highlights from the Blu-Ray commentary in "Captain America: Civil War" as Russo and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely talked Nomad being the sequel, even hinting a full costume.
In the Marvel comics, Nomad is the superhero identity used by Steve Rogers after dropping the Captain America name, when became disillusioned about the United States Government. Seeing as how Steve questioned the United Nations in allowing the Sokovian Accords to be made at the price of letting personal choices, Steve rebelled and became a fugitive as still believes that safest hands are still his to make.
In other news, it seems that the X-Men will not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon as Russo told ComicBook that there have been no talks regarding having the X-Men in the MCU and did not noticed any behind-the-scenes conversations or even heard of any plans about it.
Previous reports speculated that 20th Century Fox is open for a discussion with Marvel to have a potential collaboration sometime soon. However, since there have been no updates from both camps, it is assumed that having the X-Men in the MCU will be next to impossible.
Marvel had already successfully brought Spider-Man in the MCU thanks to the collaboration with Sony and it will not be long before Fox can bring the children of the atom, as well as the Fantastic Four into the same universe soon. Joe along with his brother Anthony Russo stated that they wanted to have Wolverine into the MCU since Hugh Jackman will be retiring the character after "Wolverine 3".
"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to be release on May 4, 2018, while the fourth film is scheduled on May 3, 2019.
