MBC's "W Two Worlds" finale is only a week away. But before that happens the show is set to feature an explosive penultimate segment which is expected to tie the loose ends and get closer to give Yeon-joo (Han Hye-joo) and Kang Cheol's (Lee Jong-suk) story's an appropriate ending. Here are spoilers for episode 15 airing on Sept. 8. Read on to find out what happens next.
[Spoiler alert! This article contains spoilers for "W Two Worlds" episode 15 (penultimate). Do not read further if you don't wish to know more about it.]
In the previous episode, fans saw Yeon-joo fighting for her life after she was shot by her father/villain. She is declared brain-dead. In the real world, dad wakes up and realises that a lot has happened and his daughter is missing. With memory flashes, he realised what he may have done and decides to track down his daughter. When he finds out that his daughter is brain dead, he breaks down.
After doctors give up on Yeon-joo in the real world, Kang Cheol takes her to manhwa for the treatment. Meanwhile, Yeon-joo's father is devastated and tries to find comfort in drinking. He even attempts to commit a suicide by jumping from a building. However, Kang Cheol saves him and asks him to come out of his guilt trip and get to work to save his daughter.
Later, Assemblyman Han kidnaps Kang Cheol and tortures him. As for Yeon-joo, she survives and returns to the normal world feeling absolutely normal. The episode ends with the words "Final episode."
"W Two Worlds" episode 15 and 16 is expected to feature what happens in the manhwa in the final episode. While there is not much information available about the penultimate segment, it is certain to reveal what happens in the final episode of the webtoon.
A promo video for "W Two Worlds" teases the events of episode 15. The show opens with Kang Cheol sitting in a courtroom where Yeon-joo walks in and reveals that they cannot leave before the last episode ends.
Meanwhile, Yeon-joo's father is taken captive and is taken to a cell. Elsewhere, Assemblyman Han continues to torture Kang Cheol.
Trouble is far from over for Yeon-joo. When she comes face to face with her father, the killer takes over her. He loses control and begins to strangle her again while yelling: "Why are you here? I clearly shot at you. How can you still be alive?"
