Monaco took league leadership after going on a three-game winning streak following a 2-2 draw with Guingamp in their opening game of the season.
The Red and Whites defeated Nantes, Paris Saint-Germain, and Lille in successive fashion to tie with Nice with 10 points each in the standings, but they have a superior goal difference of +6 to gain the top spot at the moment.

French striker Wesley Said scored the opening goal for head coach Christian Gourcuff's side at the 47th minute following a goalless opening half of play. The lead was doubled in stoppage time by Bosnian midfielder Sanjin Prcic.
It was the third straight unbeaten performance by Les Rouges et Noirs as they are currently at the sixth spot of the league table, tied on points with PSG but has a superior goal difference than the defending champions.
