Dr. Megan Meier of Oklahoma posted a photo of herself tending to a football player standing on the sideline which has gone viral and caught attention from all over the world.
She also added some lines with her photo that goes like "This is what happens when you are 35 weeks pregnant, the husband leaves town for the weekend, childcare for 3yo falls through, and you have a game to cover!"
This post from Dr. Meier shows she is heavily pregnant and also carrying her 3-year-old daughter on her back while attending the football player, ABC News pointed out. She just posted the photo on her Facebook profile to empathize with other physician moms about "what we all do each and every day."
Dr. Meier, the team physician for Putnam City North High School, the Oklahoma City Ballet, the University of Oklahoma and many other local dance groups is overwhelmed with response and reaction that her photo-generated across the globe.
She added that the post was originally meant for a group of physician moms thinking that they all would enjoy it seeing a visual representation of what all women do on everyday basis, Yahoo mentioned.
Dr. Megan Meier believes that all women have it all and they balance between their multi-faceted career and personal life. She didn't forget to mention that it takes loads of hard work and improvisation at times.
She thanked her family, friends and colleagues for their love and shares. She extended her appreciations to her team that includes athletic trainers, players, coaches and parents. She appreciated the overwhelming support of women and their families in medicine and in sports.
Dr. Megan also told the media that people are reaching out her and telling her how inspiring they find the photo for a variety of reasons. The photo actually connected her with so many strong, interesting people who have shared their own stories, their victories and of course their struggles.
It is a remarkable experience for Dr. Megan Meier to touch chords of millions of lives. She termed is as 'Pretty awesome.' She said she hopes the takeaway is to 'support each other always.'
