Samsung now has a solution for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery issues. They would slash the battery life by 40 percent. The software update in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the solution for the users who still refuse to return the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone. It is by capping or providing a limit to how much users can charge the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device.
Samsung now has the quick fix with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery issue, CNET reported. Now, Samsung has provided the software to keep the stragglers who have not returned the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 after the worldwide recall from the unsafe battery explosions. Samsung would be providing and supplying an update in the software that caps or limits the battery charging to 60 percent.
What causes the physical and property damages are the battery issues wherein the anode and cathode touch each other that cause the eruption of flames. Though the customers are encouraged to return and exchange their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, the remotely managed update in the software is found to be the instant fix to hamper future Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery issues or explosions.
Currently, according to Fortune, Samsung is investigating the battery issues that caused the battery explosions and overheating. However in a report filled with the Korea's Agency for Technology and Standards, Samsung confessed that they believe that there were mistakes in the production of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 that have caused pressures on the plates in the battery cells. This pressure caused the positive and negative poles to become in contact making the probability of explosions and overheating of the batteries. However, Samsung gave a warning that they need to have more analysis prior to reaching the definitive conclusion. Samsung expressed to the agency that they plan to "take care" of their customers in the meantime.
According to the Associated Press, in the newspaper advertisement published in South Korea, Samsung announced the information regarding the update in the software. South Korean users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone can have the software update starting Sept. 20, 2016. Currently, no information has been released yet about the date when U.S. or other countries in the world would receive the software update.
