Production and filming activities for the upcoming tvN drama "K2" are currently underway. Latest photo stills for the drama has unveiled a glimpse of cast member Girls Generation singer YoonA.
The South Korean network has released photo stills of YoonA for its upcoming drama "K2," Soompi reported. In the said images, the Girls Generation group member wore a long-sleeved loose white dress as she stood barefoot on the street. The singer turned actress looked scared in the photos as she conveyed the feelings of her character.
YoonA will portray the role of Go Ahn Na in tvn's upcoming bodyguard action series. Go has been described as a reclusive young woman who developed panic attacks and a social disorder following a traumatic experience from her past. The said character is also the secret daughter of a former actress and a presidential candidate.
Apart from YoonA, the drama will feature Song Yoon Ah who will play the wife of a presidential and Jo Sung Ha who will portray Go's father. Ji Chang Wook has also signed up play the lead role Kim Je Ha, a former special agent who became a bodyguard. He will be tasked to protect YoonA's character in the upcoming tvN series.
On the other hand, Ji's agency Glorious Entertainment has also released several "K2" posters, All Kpop reported. In the said posters, the South Korean actor looked handsome in a black suit with a white collared shirt and a black tie. Ji also posed with a serious expression on his face to convey his tough bodyguard role in the tvN drama.
The said drama will serve as YoonA and Ji's comeback to the South Korean drama scene. Both Korean stars have been busy with their respective acting projects in China. The last time that viewers saw the Girls Generation singer in a Korean drama was in the 2013 series "Prime Minister and I" alongside Lee Beom Soo, while Ji appeared in the KBS drama "Healer" with Park Min Young.
The tvn series "K2" is expected to premiere on Sept. 23, Friday.
