With Pokemon Go Plus, players can strap the wearable device on their wrist or put it on their belt, and they can use it to play Pokemon Go without needing their smartphone.

It is important to note that the app has to be open on a mobile phone, as the device connects to it using Bluetooth technology. 

With Pokemon Go Plus, it is possible to lock a user's smartphone and slip it in their pocket so long as Pokemon Go is running in the background. According to The Verge report, the wearable device costs about $35.

Now, players can capture Pokemon without using their mobile phone at all. When there is a creature in the area, a user's Pokemon Go Plus will vibrate and light up. If the wearable lights up green, it means that the creature is a species they have captured before.

Pokemon Go players need hit the button to throw a Pokeball. If they were able to catch the Pokemon successfully, Plus will vibrate three times, and the lights will change to many different colors in a row. The light will turn red if the creature escaped.

However, to see what users caught, they will need to pull out their mobile phone and go to their journal. Furthermore, gamers can use regular Poke Balls with Pokemon Go Plus only and not  Ultra Balls or Great Balls, and they cannot use items such as Razz Berries. Moreover, players just get one throw.

The wearable device can capture a species players have encountered before. They will know the difference because when they come upon a new kind of Pokemon, Plus will vibrate and light up yellow.

This is its way of telling players that they have to take out their mobile phone and use the phone to capture this Pokemon in the traditional way. There is no option to throw the ball at a new kind of Pokemon using Pokemon Go Plus.

According to reports, it can be a bit hard to capture high-leveled creatures using the device.
The Pokemon Go Plus makes the process of capturing creatures more efficient and it enables players to gather items from Poke Stops.

The most attractive feature of the Pokemon Go Plus is that it will track a user's movement without their smartphone requiring to be unlocked.

According to iDigitalTimes, a new Pokemon Go update has been rolled out. Version 1.7.1 of Pokemon Go hit the app stores on September 16th. The latest update seems to be available for iOS only. Reports claim that the update should be coming to Android smartphones shortly.
