"The Blacklist" Season 4 premiere is just days away, the upcoming season will be revealing a lot more about Liz Keen (Megan Boone) and (James Spader) Reddington's connection more than it ever did in the past three seasons. Viewers will definitely see the forthcoming season answer more questions.
In "The Blacklist" Season 3 finale, Liz was abducted by Alexander Kirk, a man who claims to be his father as a result, fans doubted Kirk's identity and questioned whether or not he is really Liz's father. However, according to Jon Bokencamp, the executive producer, Kirk's declaration should be taken in all seriousness.
Boone admitted to only know as much as the fans do when she was asked to give some tips about the upcoming season. She, however, told Entertainment Weekly that her character's connection to Red might finally be revealed, it is definitely a possibility. Boone believes it is best to keep it that way, making it easier for her to stay in character.
"The Blacklist" Season 4 will also reveal more about Liz's real mother when they will be investigating Alexander Kirk's identity. In the investigation process, they will discover journals and a lot more that will connect her mother to Reddington. Fans have been assured that the upcoming season will end up revealing more and more about Liz's past and may eventually reveal what her connection is to Reddington.
In the official synopsis for "The Blacklist" Season 4 episode 2, titled "Mato, Alexander Kirk's true intentions of coming into Liz's life will also be proven early in the season. The answer to his intentions will be another big twist to the viewers of the NBC series. Fans will be surprised with his true motives for abducting Liz and it will definitely make things more complicated than they already are, NBC Chicago reported.
"The Blacklist" Season 4 episode 2 will be titled "Esteban" and filming started way back in July. The other character who revealed some details is actor Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold).
Tom will be able to reunite with Liz who is a partner and their daughter Agnes after she faked her death with a motive to trick the Task Force and Red. He will do whatever it takes to get back to them. Also to be revealed is about Scottie, the woman who claims to be Tom's mother.
"The Blacklist" Season 4 is set to premiere on NBC on Sept. 22, Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
