It is recently confirmed that a sequel for "The Incredibles" will soon be on the works. After more than a decade of waiting, Pixar finally decided to push through in continuing the lives of the Park family. Most of the kids who viewed the first instalment are adults now, but surely they've been secretly waiting for the sequel and is ecstatic upon hearing the news that its finally going to happen.
Christian Daily reported that Pixar has reserved 2 spots Nov. 22, 2017 and June 15, 2018, although it is still undetermined if one of those dates is for the release of "Incredibles 2." Rumor has it that Pixar is planning to release 2 other movies, which could mean that those dates are reserved for those mystery movies and not for the sequel.
Director Brad Bird also confirmed that he has already started doing the script. In his statement, he said that originally "Incredibles 2" was suppose to come out after cars; however, since the release of "Cars" was pushed a bit early, it was impossible for them to release "Incredibles" sequel then. Bird even stated "Release dates are a little fluid when you're making films so far in advance."
As per the movie's storyline, speculations suggest that the main focus of the film would be the Incredible kids. It is also suggested that Dash, Violet and Jack-jack would be featured as grown ups in the upcoming sequel.
Christian Today also reported that the main villain of the film could be one of the Parr kids and rumors claim that it is none other than Jack-jack.
It can be recalled that in the first installment, Jack-jack's super powers was only revealed during the later part of the film, wherein it showed that among the whole Parr family, the youngest member was the one who acquired the greatest and strongest power.
According to the same publication, Jack-jack would be featured as a rebellious teenager that is confused and still overwhelmed with the strength of the power that he possess, and this would urge him to join the villains. On the other hand, Violet and Dash's characters is expected to be the ones who save their youngest brother from being consumed by the dark side.
When Bird was asked about the possible storyline for the sequel, he stated "Hopefully it's the same characters and feel, but going in a new direction. I mean, that's the trick with a sequel. It's repeating yourself, without repeating yourself."
Bird assured fans that the sequel would be out anytime soon, though Pixar and Disney hasn't released any statements regarding "Incredibles 2" release.
