Following an explosive premiere, "Empire" Season 3 is set to air episode 2 next week. The upcoming segment is titled "Sin that Amends" which revolves around Jamal's endeavour awakening awareness about prevalent gun violence. Here are the detailed spoilers for the next chapter of the series. Read on to find out what happens next.

"Empire" Season 3 opened revealed who bites the dust during the fight between Anika and Rhonda. The show picked up moments after the events of finale and revealed it Rhonda who Andre saw falling from the balcony. However, Rhonda came back as Andre hallucinates about her.
Moving on to "Empire" Season 3 episode 2. According to Spoiler TV's description for "Sin that Amends," the show will shed light on Jamal's life after he was shot. In an attempt to cope with the tragic incident, Jamal decides to raise awareness about the gun violence. He collaborates with a businessman Angelo Dubois, portrayed by Taye Diggs.
The two together will host a summit wherein they attempt to talk about gun violence. With the help of music, he attempts to send out a significant message to the society. However, things don't go as planned when he performs again.
In an interview with Variety, the showrunner Ilene Chaiken talks about Jamal's story this season and the reason why the writers decided to talk about Orlando tragedy in the show.
"We believe that's what Jamal would be singing about - it's who his character is and it's his story and his drive for the season," Chaiken told the website. "He even stated it in the Season 2 finale that his intention is to make music with a view of doing good in the world. That's what motivates him and he's taking it all with a sense of mission - to change the narrative of his family and to lead his family away from these dark currents to Lucious has drawn him toward. That's Jamal's goal and his mission."
In addition, the "Empire" Season 3 episode 2 will shed light on Luscious' plan to win over Cookie. Meanwhile, Hakeem and Shine record new songs. And Andre finds himself in a difficult situation that involves the police.
