Fans of "Descendants of the Sun" actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo are confused because of the number of concocted reports about their alleged secret relationship, wedding plans and participation in the second season of the blockbuster series.
It seems the only sure thing they would see the couple again is at the 2016 APAN Star Awards on Oct. 2 because the two are among the nominees for the best couple in a drama series, reported KPopHerald. The award ceremony is part of the 2016 DMC Festival at Sangam MBC Broadcasting Station.
The winner would be determined by the number of fan votes they would get. Voting is until Sept. 30 at the DMC Festival official website.
Besides Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo, the other couple nominees are Jin Goo and Kim Jo-won, also from “Descendants of the Sun,” Kim Rae-won and Park shin-hye from “Doctors,” Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo from “W Two Worlds” and Eric and Seo Hyun-jin from “Oh Hae-young Again.”
The 2016 Asia Pacific Star Awards bring together K-Drama and Asia Pacific pop culture. MCs for the even are Dong-Yup Shin and Ha-Nui Lee. The nominees are not only Koreans but also from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Turkey and other Asian countries.
The festival, organized by MBC, runs for 11 days in SangAm, the hub of global cultural contents. It is celebrating its second year through 10 music concerts, award ceremonies, star exhibition, broadcasting experience tour and other events.
