"How to Get Away With Murder" season 3, episode 1 recently saw Connor (Jack Falahee) ending his relationship with Oliver (Conrad Ricamora).
In "We're Good People," Connor found out the truth about Oliver's attempt to work for Annalise Keating (Viola Davis). However, in order to prove that he can also do bad things, Oliver decided to delete Connor's acceptance letter from one of the most prestigious schools in the world. Unfortunately, Annalise decided to tell Connor about it to warn him about Oliver. This eventually led to the latter deciding to end his relationship with the former.
Following the episode, fans of Connor and Oliver couldn't help but express their disappointment at executive producer Pete Nowalk's decision to split the two male characters. However, the exec clarified that Connor and Oliver will still be involved in each other's lives greatly.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nowalk said, "It is always a challenge for me to do what the audience doesn't expect. Oliver said he wants to break up, but we are going to see what that looks like with the two of them. That was a very painful and a very mature decision on Oliver's part. Is it just a break they're taking or are they going to get back together? I will just say that yes, fans will be upset and I understand that. I am upset too; I love them more than anyone. But they are going to be in each other's lives in a very major way for the rest of the season. So just hold on, don't get too depressed and see where it goes."
In other news, new information about Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) and Annalise's relationship will be unveiled in the upcoming episodes. Wes (Alfred Enoch) and Meggy's (Corbin Reid) relationship will also have a huge impact on Wes' relationship with Laurel (Karla Souza). Bonnie (Liza Weil) will continue to be in between Frank and Annalise.
