Struggling club Delfino Pescara (1-2-3, 6 points) will try to earn their first legitimate win of the 2016-2017 Serie A season as they square off with contending squad AC Chievo (3-2-1, 10 points) on Saturday, Oct. 1 to kick off the seventh round of competitions.

Pescara, who was one of three teams newly-promoted from Serie B this term, should have been winless after six games this season if not for a Sassuolo's violation of league rules during their match on Aug. 28.
Sassuolo's 2-1 victory was overturned into a 3-0 win for Pescara after the league found out that I Neroverdi breached the transfer guidelines last summer and fielded in an illegal player against the Dolphins.
With that, head coach Massimo Oddo's team is now settled at the 15th spot of the 20-team Italian top flight table, tied on points with Atalanta and Sampdoria but has a greater goal difference.
Pescara's most recent game was a sorry 1-1 draw against nine-man Genoa last Sunday on the road at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, as per ESPN.
After the two teams held each other goalless in the first half of play, Argentine forward Giovanni Simeone opened the scoring at the 47th minute as the hosts looked on their way of winning the game.
However, two straight red cards were handed to Edenilson and Goran Pandev at the 74th and 79th to give the visitors a chance to level.
