Late pop icon Michael Jackson's sister Janet Jackson finally confirmed her pregnancy when she gave a glimpse of her growing baby belly in London on Sept. 27, Tuesday. The 50-year-old singer is expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana.
The singer was spotted out and about in the city with a very noticeable baby bump. She arrived at 4:45 pm at a high-end boutique Back In Action, a store that deals in many wellness products and services primarily focusing on back problems. She was accompanied by an entourage of her assistant and bodyguards.
Janet remained at the store for 45 minutes and left the place with a couple of bags. The singer reportedly also took an interest in one of the prams displayed at the store.
In an exclusive pics obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the singer appeared in good spirits. With a smile on her face and braided hair held back by a bandana, the mom-to-be looked extremely comfortable with a scarf and loose-fitting black sweater, along with sweatpants and sneakers.
The rare public appearance has seemingly put an end to the rumors that the singer has opted for surrogacy and is trying her best to hide the fact from the media. Although it is not announced officially, the singer seems to be due in November and is said to be carrying twins.
The public appearance is also the first one since news broke of her pregnancy earlier this year. A source recently told Us Weekly that the singer is taking a break from work and has been on bed-rest as per doctor's orders.
Last April, Janet postponed her Unbreakable world tour. In a video message, she informed her fans that she and her husband are planning to start a family. Later in May, reports emerged that Janet is pregnant with her first child.
The couple has a home in London, which is one of the several ones that they own around the world. It is still not confirmed whether the singer will give birth to her child in London or somewhere else.
