Kim Kardashian had a terrifying experience at a Paris hotel after masked men held her at gunpoint inside her room on Oct. 2, Sunday. The TV personality survived the ordeal physically unharmed as husband Kanye West abruptly ended a scheduled performance to take care of the family emergency.
Paris has been a city that elicited many great memories for the Kardashian and West family. The famous Kardashian sisters, as well as their mother Kris Jenner, visited the French capital on many occasions to attend fashion shows, complete pictorial sessions or enjoy the various attractions that the city may offer. However, a recent security breach that threatened the life of West's wife may cloud their happy memories of Paris.
Two armed men who posed wore police uniforms held Kardashian at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room. Full details of the incident have yet to be unveiled but a representative from Kardashian's side told E! News that the mother-of-two was physically unharmed but "badly shaken" by the incident.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star has been staying in the said French city to attend the prestigious Fashion Week. She was with Kris, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian did not accompany their siblings in the said Paris trip. West initially joined Kim, along with their two children North West and Saint West, but had to travel back to the United States to attend to other work commitments.
The Kardashians and the Wests' safety is a major focus of the TV family's security team, according to the said representative. Tighter security measures were put in place following Kim's hotel room ordeal. It is still unclear if the reality star was robbed during the incident.
In other news, Kanye ended a concert performance at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival held Sunday evening at a much earlier time due to Kim's terrifying Paris hotel room experience. The rapper was scheduled to complete his New York show at 10 p.m. but left the stage abruptly at 9:40 p.m., according to Billboard.
Halfway through his performance of the track "Heartless," Kanye suddenly stopped singing and extended his apologies to the concert crowd for ending the show. He mentioned that he had a family emergency to take care of before he rushed off the stage.
