"Westworld" Season 1 episode 3 titled "The Stray" is set to air on HBO on Oct. 16. In the episode, which is directed by Neil Marshall, Teddy Flood (James Marsden) will get a new backstory.

With the new backstory, Teddy will set him off in pursuit of a new villain in "The Stray." On the other hand, Elsie Hughes (Shannon Woodward) and Ashley Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) are in pursuit of a missing host so they head into the hills.

In "The Stray," Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) will investigate the origins of madness and hallucinations within the hosts. The episode was written by Daniel T. Thomsen and Lisa Joy, who recently attended New York Comic Con with her fellow "Westworld" co-creator Jonathan Nolan, Vulture reported.

In "Westworld" Season 1 episode 2 titled "Chestnut," which aired on Oct. 9 on HBO, it was revealed that Bernard and Theresa Cullen (Sidse Babett Knudsen) have a romantic relationship. The episode ended with Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) vetoing the narrative of Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman), insisting that they replace it with his so-called own original narrative.

Woodward, Hemsworth, Wright, Knudsen and Quarterman are all appearing in "The Stray." Also appearing in the episode are Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Rodrigo Santoro, Louis Herthum and Anthony Hopkins who play Dolores Abernathy, Maeve Millay, Charlotte Hale, Hector Escaton, Peter Abernathy and Dr. Robert Ford, among others.

Cody Buchanan, Joshua Dov, Olga Aguilar, Tait Fletcher, Travis Hammer and Mykell are appearing in "The Straw," as well. They will play a host cowboy, python cowboy, a screaming host, a woodcutter, a leering guest and a naked host, respectively.

"Westworld" premiered on HBO on Oct. 2. It was based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton.

Meanwhile, aside from playing Dolores Abernathy in "Westworld," Wood is also set to star in "Viena and the Fantomes." Written and directed by Gerardo Naranjo, the romantic drama film also stars Jon Bernthal and Dakota Fanning, who attended the "American Pastoral" screening at the Hamptons International Film Festival on Oct. 10, Monday, Daily Mail reported.
