The Nintendo NX could finally be revealed before October ends as rumors claim it will be finally unveiled by the company after several months of being quiet regarding the new gaming console.
Nintendo has not announced anything definitive regarding the Nintendo NX specs and features despite all of the rumors surrounding the device. The most recent rumor is that it will only be powered by a Tegra chip from NVIDIA which suggests that it will not be as powerful as its competitors the PlayStation Pro and the Xbox One Project Scorpio from Microsoft.
Macquarie Group claims that the Nintendo NX could be unveiled officially on October 21 at the earliest through a special Nintendo Direct event, Express.co.uk has learned. There is no official confirmation from Nintendo regarding the event yet and fans are still waiting for the announcement even for just the date itself.
The Nintendo NX is expected to release with at least one Super Mario title and four more others which are unnamed. It could be the new "Dragon Quest" game or another Pokémon title from Nintendo.
There are also rumors that the Nintendo NX will be delayed once again but those are unfounded claims. Some also believe that the console will already be demoed through shops starting in February.
Another strong rumor is that the Nintendo NX will be a portable device that can be plugged into a TV like Google's Chromecast, PVP Live reported. The device is expected to have detachable controllers which fits with the form factor of a portable unit.
With the NVIDIA Tegra chip rumor and the portable device claims, it would seem that the Chromecast approach is plausible. It would not need much power considering that it will not be as powerful as the Xbox One Project Scorpio or the PlayStation Pro but things can still change and Nintendo may still surprise the world when they finally reveal the new product.
Nintendo NX fans should wait for an event this October to see whether the company will unveil the new gaming device. The specs, features and final release date are also expected to be revealed.
