Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will get 6 exclusive Android 7.1 N features.
If reports are anything to go by, the Google Pixel XL and Pixel smartphones will run the complete range of features that Android 7.1 Nougat offers.
The company's earlier line of Nexus devices will not enjoy the upgrade as extensively as the new models will.
Google Assistant
The new Google Assistant utilizes natural language commands. It has an ability to understand nuances in communication like humorous jabs and followup questions.
Furthermore, the Google assistant can make sense of items shown on-screen to help people sort through their tasks and schedule and launch third-party applications conveniently. Reports claim that Google Assistant may be exclusive to the Google Pixel smartphones.
Storage
Because the two devices do not allow for memory expansion through a microSD card, the system will remove videos and pictures saved in the Google Photos cloud storage automatically.
Pixel Launcher
The Pixel Launcher will include the circular app icons and new homescreen shortcuts.

Camera App
Among the Camera app features supported on Android N are Smart Burst that is believed to use artificial intelligence to select the best out of a series of shots, and the default HDR+ that promises zero shutter lag when taking quick fire shots.
Videos and pictures taken on Google Pixel smartphones will be stored on Google Photos without limit.
Daydream Virtual Reality
The two smartphones will support the company's virtual reality platform Daydream. They will allow for an immersive 3D experience of sporting events, concerts and movies as though owners were physically there.
In addition, Daydream on Android 7.1 N will allow them explore new worlds and play games. The Pixel XL and Pixel will work with the Daydream View virtual reality headset.
The Android 7.1 Nougat firmware is included in the Pixel XL and Pixel smartphones out of the box when the handsets are launched beginning on October 20, Mirror reported.
The newest version of Nougat will be launched in beta for the Nexus line and other Android handsets at the end of this month, Digital Trends reported.
