After the success of the Netflix documentary series first installment, "Making a Murderer" Season 2 is now underway. The saga of convicted Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey in the murder of Teresa Halbach continues with more thrilling events and revelations.
Many viewers have been hooked on the turn of events in the Netflix true story drama that opened the eyes of people concerning the unfair justice system in the country. Many questions will be answered when "Making a Murderer" Season 2 returns, including whether the court's decision will be overturned for Avery.
There is a speculation that Avery may find acquittal in the case filed against him. The researchers from Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet will be helping Avery through the use of the modern technology called radioactive carbon-dating. The researchers are reportedly going to determine whether or not the blood stains in the crime scene were made up to press him on the case.
"Making a Murderer" Season 2 will highlight a new defense lawyer for Avery. Kathleen Turner, who has a proven track of record for overturning 17 convictions in the past will try her skills if Avery will land on the same fate, Cheat Sheet reported. The new season will also pave the way for people to meet the families of the convicted as well as Dassey's legal team Laura Nirider and Steve Drizin.
After Avery's nephew appeal, his conviction of murder and sexual assault was upturned by a federal judge in Wisconsin. Season 2 is more likely to present a new suspect in the case, which may include Halbach's new boyfriend or a serial killer during those years.
There is also a growing speculation that Halbach's personal mobile phone will be presented in "Making a Murderer" Season 2. Zellner will try to prove her client's innocence by showing that Halbach made calls with someone, who had a sexual assault case in Arizona, prior to her death.
The viewers, who have not heard the speculation before will be surprised that the upcoming season may see Avery engaged with one of his fans. Lynn Hartmann reportedly exchanged letters with Avery after the initial season aired.
Viewers will be more attached to this case as Netflix Ted Sarandos promised that the second run will lay new information on the case. The new season will also see the emotional toll that murder case has brought to the people involved, according to Variety.
