"American Horror Story" co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy has previewed what to expect in the final five episodes of Season 6's Roanoke after Wednesday's game-changing twist.
This week's outing of "American Horror Story" finally uncorked its major plot twist, revealing that "My Roanoke Nightmare" was actually a reality show and that the participants (Shelby, Matt and Lee, etc.) are only actors. The well-watched TV show is produced by Cheyenne Jackson's cocky character, Sid - who has already thought of a follow-up to the story titled "Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell."

The second layer of the twist further revealed that every single participant in the show is already dead, except for one whose identity remains as a mystery.
Speaking with E! Online, Murphy assured fans that the subsequent episodes of "American Horror Story" Season 6 will continue to deliver more intense and harrowing sequences. However, the showrunner warned that the season finale will see only one participant alive.

"I think that's a really fun thing for the audience to be watching and guessing who's going to be the survivor," Murphy said.
"Who's going to be the last one standing. And then what's going to happen to that person. So that's what the rest of the season is."
In addition to the latest mystery, viewers can also look forward to the reappearance of familiar characters from the past installments. Earlier this week, Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that Taissa Farmiga and Finn Wittrock will resurface later this season on "American Horror Story." Details on the duo's character descriptions are still under wraps.
An all new episode of "American Horror Story" Season 6 airs every Wednesday at 10PM on FX for fans of the thrilling TV series.
