[UPDATE] ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 episode 2 spoilers, promo revealed: What happens in ‘Today Will be Different’ [VIDEO]

"The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 8 episode 2 debuts next week. The upcoming segment is titled "Today Will be Different" and it will see someone close to Stefan become Damon and Enzo's next target. Meanwhile, Alaric gets a lead on the mysterious force controlling Damon and Enzo. Here are spoilers for the next two chapters of the series. Read on to find out what happens next.

Stefan, Bonnie and Caroline head to North Carolina in "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 8 episode 2. According to Spoiler TV's description for "Today Will be Different," Stefan finds out that Damon and Enzo are targeting someone from his past. Before this person becomes the victim of the dangerous duo, Stefan, Bonnie and Caroline head out to rescue him/her.

Meanwhile, Bonnie is determined to free Enzo from the spell controlling him. She is forced to take some desperate actions and daring moves to bring Enzo back and free him from whatever has a hold over him.

Alaric has a new job. He is working at the Armoury and here he discovers a "mysterious symbol" that is expected to reveal more about the supernatural force controlling Enzo and Damon. In addition, the show will shed light on Stefan and Caroline's storyline. Stefan will give Caroline an unexpected surprise.

A promo video for "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 8 episode 2 is yet to be released. It is expected to be out after the broadcast of episode 1 airing on Oct. 21. Stay tuned, it will be updated here.
