Defending champions and current league leaders Juventus FC (7-2-0, 21 points) will look to redeem themselves from a lackluster performance in the previous round as they face lowly team UC Sampdoria (3-4-2, 11 points) at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in a 2016-2017 Serie A season encounter.

Il Grifone was able to find the equalizer 12 minutes later as Italian midfielder Luca Rigoni buried a short-range left-footer to the bottom left corner of goalkeeper Christian Puggioni's net, with the assist coming from Brazilian central midfielder Edenilson.
Genoa brought their own demise two minutes into the second half when defender Armando Izzo hit an own goal following a corner kick conceded by teammate Diego Laxalt in the 47th, handing head coach Marco Giampaolo's side their first win in their last six matches.
