2NE1 comeback may happen sooner than later, if the recent Instagram post of member Park Bom is to be believed.
Park Bom sparked the speculations of 2NE1's return when she posted a photo of her in a Moomin Café with a caption that reads, "It's Ppoong Ppoong's family. Isn't it cute when the family's together? There's a Moomin Cafe even in Korea. Everyone. I am doing well. Let's meet soon~~~!? Ok? I love you."
The words "Let's meet soon" resonated with 2NE1's fans Blackjacks who are eagerly waiting for the girl group's return. Blackjacks gushed over the possibility of the girls' return after two years. Their last performance as a group was in Mnet Asian Music Awards 2015 where they made a surprise appearance for their fans.
YG Entertainment is reportedly laying the groundwork for 2NE1's much awaited comeback. Park Bom is slowly reentering the industry starting her way in social media. She made a new Instagram account and is testing the reactions of netizens who once criticized her for her drug scandal.
Many were surprised upon Park Bom's breaking her hiatus from social media. However, her fans gave the 2NE1's main vocal a warm welcome.
Other 2NE1 members CL and Dara are currently busy with their solo projects. CL is promoting in the US and will hold her first US and Canadian tour. Meanwhile, Dara is wrapping up her project in the Philippines.
Although YG Entertainment said that 2NE1 comeback will happen soon, an exact date has not been revealed. The label is currently busy promoting its next generation girl group - BLACKPINK, which will hold a comeback in November releasing two new songs. The group is composed of Jennie Kim, Lisa Manoban, Kim Jisoo, and Roseanne Park.
