Xiaomi Redmi 4 has allegedly received certification from TENAA, a Chinese regulatory body. In In the recent past, it was also spotted on GeekBench. By this it can be assumed that Xiaomi Redmi 4 will get official announcement before 2016 comes to an end as it is rapidly clearing the regulatory hurdles.

Even though Xiaomi has not yet revealed the specs details of Redmi 4 but according to the rumor mill it will be having 5-inch full HD display. It may receive power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset.
It is said to have 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB internal memory. It is unclear whether it will be featured with microSD card slot to expand the memory capacity. However, since the previous Redmi phones feature a microSD slot, the Redmi 4 is expected to feature it. It will come with preinstalled Android 6.0(Marshmallow) out of the box. Times news reported.
It is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera for shooting selfies and video calling. Earlier it was rumored to have 8-megapixel camera. The new rumors suggest that it will be packed with 4,000 mAh battery to keep the lights on. Previously, it was said to have 4,100 mAh battery.
Leaked images shows that Redmi 4 will be covered with metal body and it is said to be available in three colors such as Gray, Gold and Silver. On the rear side, there is a LED flash besides the camera and a round fingerprint scanner, Playful Droid reported. The price tag of Redmi 4 is not yet disclosed, but it is expected to be priced at $190.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 will arrive to replace the Redmi 3 series smartphones that were launched earlier this year. The Redmi 3S has a 5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 430 SoC, 16 GB native and 2 GB of RAM. It was also equipped with 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera. It includes a 4,100 mAh battery.
The Redmi 3S Prime comes with 32 GB storage, 3 GB of RAM and a fingerprint scanner and other specs of the phone is same as the 3S variant. The Redmi 3S and 3S Prime are immensely popular smartphones.
