Ronda Rousey is by far the most dominant and best fighter in her division in the UFC. USA Today reported that after destroying former number 1 contender Cat Zingano in just 14-second, UFC might have a big problem to look for her next opponent that goes up to her skill level. In addition, Rousey will be acting in a new film that will be produced by Peter Berg.
The movie will be titled "Mile 22" that will of course star Rousey as a CIA operative who gets an Indonesian police officer as a partner. Her counterpart will be played by Iko Uwais who also stars in the movie "The Raid".
Rousey previously acted in the third installment of Sylvester Stallone's action packed and star studded international hit "The Expendables". She will also star in the 2015 film "Furious 7."
This move is good for Rousey while UFC is busy scouring for her next opponent however some of her competitors think she should stick to fighting.
In a separate report, Rousey tapped out Cat Zingano, which was previously touted as the best opponent for Rousey at this point, in just 14 seconds, the fastest finish in any UFC main event, via a modified armbar, Yahoo Sports reported.
As the bell rang, Zingano stormed out from her corner and threw a flying knee towards Rousey. However, since Rousey is a gold medalist Judo and a very accomplished grappler it was no time since she took Zingano down and quickly gained the top position.
While on Zingano's back, Rousey positioned herself, strategically, to potentially submit Zingano via armbar but instead grabbed the number 1 contender's arm and hyper extend the shoulder instead that looks like an armbar.
With her win, the UFC has run out of possible opponents for her dominance and the next best option will be Invicta's phenom Brazilian Chris "Cyborg" Justino.
Rousey and Justino is currently being promoted by two different organizations that might be a problem in arranging the fight between the 2 champions.
However, a lot of critics and fans alike thinks that the fight will not going to happen soon since UFC is known not to make super fights happen if the odds will not going to favor them, like what happened to MMA's version of the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather mega fight, the Brock Lesnar vs Fedor Emelianenko face off.
