An upcoming episode in AMC's "The Walking Dead" will provide viewers with a look at Daryl's imprisoned life inside Negan's Savior camp. Cast member Norman Reedus teased that the crossbrow-wielding character will transform into a different man given the death of his friends.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 3 will unveil Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Savior community where some of his prisoners are trained to serve him. With Daryl's (Reedus) abduction in the AMC show's recent season premiere, Negan will try to break the said character's spirit.
Titled "The Cell", the upcoming episode will feature a Daryl who will exhibit a subservient behavior given his guilty feelings over Glenn's (Steven Yeun) death. In an interview with TV Guide, Reedus shared that his character will allow Negan and his men to torture him since he was the reason why Glenn was killed.
"[Daryl] thinks he deserves to be there, and whatever is going to happen to him, he's just going to let it happen," Reedus explained. "He feels incredible guilt over what ... happened. He's lost the will to fight back."
Glenn's death will also impact Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group. Described as the heart of the Rick's team, beloved characters may lose hope, as well as their faith in other people given Glenn's demise.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 3 will also provide fans a glimpse of Dwight's (Austin Amelio) "alpha" role as he trains Daryl to become one of Negan's loyal followers. Viewers will even learn of Dwight's backstory with Negan, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoiler TV.
However, despite Dwight's inclusion in the Saviors group, other members of Negan's community will play a few torturous games to test the said character's loyalty. Daryl's nemesis will also be given a special mission outside of the community.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 airs every Sunday on AMC. Watch the preview for the show's upcoming episode 3 below:
