According to new reports, Android 7.0 Nougat will roll out to 15 Motorola handsets in December this year.
One of the criteria for the handset to receive the newest Android version is that it should be a one year older model, The Verge reported.
The handsets that will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update upon its official launch in December this year include Moto G (4th Generation), Moto G Play, Moto G Plus, Moto X Style, Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Force, Moto X Play, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2, Moto Z, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z Play and Nexus 6.
When it comes to Android updates, the company is known being fast. According to a report from Android Central, Moto Z and Moto G4 will be the first ones among the 15 devices to get the latest Android 7.0 N update.
It is not known whether the Moto E3 Power and Moto G (2015) will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat updates or not. Furthermore, there are devices under the Moto E series that may not get the new system updates.
Moto E3 Power smartphone, which was unveiled in August this year, comes with a 5-inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.
The Motorola smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6735P chipset and it has 2GB of RAM. The Moto E3 Power has 16GB of internal storage that people can expand to 32GB through a microSD card.
The device sports a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Moto E3 Power has a 3500mAh non removable battery and runs Android 6.0.1 operating system. The Motorola smartphone weighs 153.5 grams and measures 143.80mm x 71.60mm x 9.55mm.
Motorola Moto G (third generation) smartphone, which was unveiled in July 2015, sports a 5-inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.
The Motorola device is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset and has 1GB of RAM. The Moto G 2015 has 8GB of internal storage that people can expand to 32GB through a microSD card.
Some of the other features include a 5 MP front camera and a 13 MP primary camera on the back. It has a 2470mAh non removable battery and runs Android 5.1.1 operating system.
