After "Persona 5's" official release in Japan this September that picked record-breaking sales and widespread public approval, its game publisher Atlus started campaigning the game's upcoming English gameplay livestream on Nov. 16.
For the first time, Atlus will be holding the first "Persona 5" English gameplay livestream on Wednesday, Nov. 16, via its Twitch channel at 12pm PST/3pm EST/8pm GMT.
According to Gematsu, the company broke the news to its subscribers via e-mail, stating: "We're the Phantom Thieves Of Hearts and we're back to leak some juicy Persona 5 news! We've successfully forced Atlus to finally show the first English gameplay of Persona 5, and they're going to debut it at their 'Let Us Start The Game' live stream event on Nov. 16. We're warning them to make it the biggest live stream they've ever done, so expect special guests, giveaways and the latest Persona 5 news. Be sure to tune in to the Atlus USA Twitch channel on Nov. 16 at 12 p.m. PST for the show."
During the "Persona 5" livestreaming event, fans and spectators can also expect special guests to pop up during the event and prizes can be given away. In addition, the livestream event is expected to present the next improvements coming in the "Persona 5" franchise, which will be different over earlier titles.
For one, exploration will change significantly making more areas accessible, in contrast to the previous "Persona" titles where players are only allowed to explore limited sections of the game's map.
The game's dungeons will also offer platforming segments for players to take on, like dungeon segments that will require players to engage in a stealth gameplay.
The "slice of life" style daytime gameplay features Tokyo high school students attending classes and making friends. The mundane lives of these teenagers are mixed with adrenaline-rushed interactions, which would influence the characters' abilities in battle. The game shifts by night into battles with demons in dungeons. The combat system like others in the series, combines classic, turn-based RPG elements with some creative innovations.
According to iDigitalTimes, "Persona 5" is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan, and will launch in North America and Europe on Feb. 14, though it is currently available for pre-order via http://atlus.com/persona5.
