"No Man's Sky's" latest update included data files that gave clue to an upcoming new vehicle. A mod incorporated the data files to turn the Word Stones into the buggy model.
According to the official website of Reddit, a member said that the data files contained textures and a model that looked like to be a buggy. He also imported the data files into the game to try it out and found out it really looked like the vehicle.
This discovery could mean that Hello Games is introducing an upcoming land-based vehicle for players to drive around planets. This will make exploration a lot easier than it was when they were exploring different areas on foot and with a jetpack that has limited fuel. This will also make it easier for them to gather resources from different areas.
Another Reddit member agreed that these data files make sense because with a new land vehicle, it will be convenient for players. This will make travel easier and safe, especially with planets that have a toxic environment or have a lot of hazards like hostile creatures and inhabitants. Another member noticed that there was a folding garage door style entrance into the base building, which meant it could be used for storing the land vehicle there.
According to the official website of "No Man's Sky" Mods, the same Reddit member uploaded the data files he found and turned it into a mod for others to try out. It says in the description that it will replace all of the Word Stones with the buggy model, and it was only used for demonstration purposes that the data files were real. Players who will try out this mod will only need to find a Word Stone on a planet to see its effect.
The game developers have not officially confirmed that this will be the introduction of a buggy vehicle into the game, but they teased recently with the Foundation Update. They said that this update will lay the groundwork for many other contents to come for the video game. The latest update is large in scale and introduces several features like base building, three new modes, and many more.
