Broken Matt Hardy is the breakout superstar of the year and many fans want to see him in the WWE. However, Broken Matt revealed in an interview that even though Vince McMahon is interested in signing him, he might sign a new deal with TNA Wrestling.
The 43-year-old superstar revived his career when became broken due to his brother, Jeff. They feuded and their over-the-top presentation got them over the crowd. The Broken Hardys became an internet sensation and saved TNA Wrestling from folding.
In an appearance on The Ross Report, Broken Matt was asked by host Jim Ross if he is interested in signing with the WWE. He answered by saying that he knows WWE is interested but he would like to continue helping TNA Wrestling stay afloat.
"Right now, my goal is to help out Impact Wrestling as much as I can to survive and thrive. I have more or less helped it survive through obscurity in the year 2016," Broken Matt said.
"I would only go to that McMahon if he knew what the deal was. If he tried to double-cross me in any way, shape, or form, then, I would render his ass obsolete, and then, I would delete him! Yes," he added.
On the other hand, Broken Brother Nero (Jeff) is also interested in returning to the WWE. He wants one more run in the company and one final match against The Undertaker, per Sports Illustrated. However, just like his brother, he would like to stay in TNA Wrestling because he is enjoying their current run.
The Broken Hardys, even though some may call their gimmicks bad and cheesy, are the most over act in wrestling today. Their broken brilliance has helped TNA Wrestling get more viewers and better ratings. They are also given creative freedom which makes their jobs easier.
Broken Matt and Brother Nero will not get that freedom in the WWE since Vince McMahon and Triple H are in charge. Nevertheless, the WWE Universe would love to see them back in a WWE ring once again.
The Hardy Boyz are considered one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. They helped shaped the next generation of tag teams with their high-flying and risk-taking moves. They are also one of the most popular teams ever.
