In "The Present," Barry pays Julian (Tom Felton) a visit at the lab to fish for more information on whether or not the Philosopher's Stone is connected to Savitar. Julian tells Barry that he's heard to the stone from several years ago. The villainous character, who secretly transformed into Alchemy in episode 8, also tells Barry that the stone has been lost and that is one of the reasons why he decided to go to the city.
Before leaving the room, Barry gathers up the courage to ask Julian if he has heard of Savitar. The CSI agent says that he knows Savitar is a meta of speed. Julian also encouraged Barry to not waste his time on finding information about Savitar. What the lead character does not know is that Julian is keeping tons of information to himself.
Meanwhile, an unstoppable Barry will head to Earth-3 to ask Jay (John Wesley-Shipp) if he has heard of Savitar before. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Barry will get some information from Jay. But in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that Team Flash will have the opportunity to talk to Savitar in the finale episode.
According to him, Team Flash will soon find out what they are really up against when they finally have a conversation with Savitar. "They will have a greater idea of what threat Savitar is, and what they are truly up against for this season, and how it is going to take all of them to fight it," he said.
In other news, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) will shock Barry with his confession. In the previous episode, Wally transformed and received training as Kid Flash. Elsewhere, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will be celebrating his first Christmas without his brother, Dante. This will reopen old wounds and will risk his relationship with Barry, according to TV Line.
"The Flash" Season 3, episode 9 will air on The CW on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. EST.
