What is SBS airing instead of ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ Episode 14 on Dec. 29, 2016?

The new episode of "The Legend of the Blue Sea" will not be the fourteenth instalment as the network is set to air a special episode. "The Legend of the Blue Sea" Episode 14 is not airing on Dec. 29, 2016.

According to a source from the drama division of SBS, the network has created a special episode for Dec. 29 and it will be a quick recap of the first half of "The Legend of the Blue Sea."

"We've created a special episode that will summarize the first half of the drama so that viewers can enjoy it like a movie before the second half of the drama kicks off. The staff will do their best for the remainder of the drama to create a top-notch production every episode," the source revealed (via Soompi).

"The Legend of the Blue" Episode 14 is slated to air on Jan. 4, 2017 on SBS.

In other, "The Legend of the Blue Sea," it has been revealed that the storyline in undergoing major development. According to Soompi, Heo Jun Jae's relationship with his step brother and father will be explored, also the danger to Shim Cheong will be revealed.

Meanwhile, the "Descendants of the Sun" star Song Hye Kyo is speculated to be roped in "The Legend of the Blue Sea," noted IB Times.

However, the network or the show creators have not made any official statements about the inclusion of Song Hye Kyo.
