Lowly club Deportivo de La Coruna (4-8-5, 17 points) will try to extend their unbeaten run to three games as they face contending squad Villarreal CF (8-3-6, 30 points) in a 2016-2017 La Liga season encounter on Jan. 14, Saturday at the Riazor Stadium.

It looked like the game was headed to an upset win for head coach Fran Escribá's squad as time slowly ticked away, but Lionel Messi was able to level the count right at the stroke of full-time to force the draw for Barça.
It was the fourth consecutive unbeaten performance for Villarreal as the team settled in the fifth spot of the league table.
