When news spread that Paul Millsap is available in the trade market, it caused a stir both in social media and the National Basketball Association. However, after dealing Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Atlanta Hawks have made it clear that their All-Star forward is for keeps. It could be a ploy to attract bigger offers but for the meantime, here are updates on NBA players who are on the trading block:
Jahlil Okafor
Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown did not field Okafor four times in the last five games, increasing rumors that Okafor would be dealt for trade instead of fellow big man Nerlens Noel. Obviously, not playing in games does not sit well with Okafor, saying that he is not the type of player that is a DNP (Did Not Play), Philly.com reported. The sophomore center is rumored to be headed to Boston as the Celtics are in need of a big man.
Brandon Knight
Knights has seen a drastic decrease in minutes and he could be on his way out of the Phoenix Suns which are experiencing a logjam in their backcourt. Knight is only 25 years old and has plenty left in his tank since he can be a spot up shooter and a playmaker at the same time and teams like the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are in apparent need of a point guard, can benefit with the possible acquisition of the former University of Kentucky star.
Goran Dragic
The Miami Heat have the second most number of losses in the league and they are headed in full rebuild. With Hassan Whiteside likely to stay in South Beach, the Heat might deal their Slovenian guard to acquire assets. However, dealing Dragic might be not as easy despite the interest he draws as Miami's asking price for the spitfire combo guard is still too high to attract trade discussions, ESPN reported.
