As per the official synopsis, Season 6 episode 1 (as published on network's official website) will delve deeper into the outcome of the presidential race. One out of the two candidates, Mellie Grant and Francisco Vargas, will be declared the winner of presidential elections.
Fans can expect a time jump, as the show will directly get to the results of the electoral results. According to the press release, the results will shock everyone and will lead to "explosive outcome."
Recently, "Scandal" star Kerry Washington appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show and teased what "Scandal" Season 6 episode 1 has in store for the fans. The actress revealed that the first 10 minutes of the premiere segment will be significant and reveal the answer to the biggest question: Who won the elections and who lost. Washington suggests "it's worth the wait."
"We shot the episodes way before the real election... but it will be hard to believe that we didn't know about our election," Washington revealed as quoted by Bustle.
