"Dance Moms" star and ALDC coach Abby Lee Miller has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for fraud.
According to People, the controversial coach is in the midst of a two-day sentencing hearing when she decided to forfeit the $120,000 Australian that she pleaded guilty to. On Friday, the prosecution called witness and demanded prison time for Miller. On Feb. 24, witnesses will be asked to take the stand, and this will also be the day when her final sentence will be imposed.
Meanwhile, Miller was charged with attempting to hide $775,000 of income from "Dance Moms" spinoff "Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition." Court documents revealed that the money was hidden in secret bank accounts between 2012 and 2013.
In August 2014, Miller was accused to carrying the huge sum of money and asking her friends to put them in separate paper bags then carry them.
While speaking with the publication, Miller's attorney, Robert Ridge said that his client has been taking things seriously. "This has been a challenging time for Ms. Miller. She appreciates the words of encouragement and support from around the world," he said.
In other news, "Dance Moms" Season 7 will be the last for the hit Lifetime reality TV show. There are rumors that the show will be cancelled to accommodate Miller's jail time. On her Instagram account, Miller also posted a short clip from one of the Junior Elite team's competitions. The coach's caption was a bit telling that the win was bittersweet because it will also be their last.
Despite the cancellation of "Dance Moms," Miller continues to hone her students in dance. However, she also continues to pit them against each other. In the upcoming episode, titled "Battle of the Blondes," Miller will bring in a guest dancer named Jane Dickson who looks exactly like Brynn Rumfallo.
"Dance Moms" Season 7 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
